Want to make your own BBQ, side table, cabinet, rocket stove, coat rack, or table legs from metal? In this group course, you’ll learn how metal behaves when it’s sawed, cut, ground, bent, drilled, tapped, welded, and heated. You can work with one of the examples above or bring your own project.
We’ll review the working drawing and the feasibility of your project together, discuss how to use the material efficiently, and also cover the theory and practice of MIG welding. During the lessons, you’ll learn skills and knowledge of the machines and how to set them up correctly. The four most commonly used welding techniques are covered in this introductory course: MIG, electrode, TIG, and oxyfuel welding.
Are you considering a larger project that you can’t complete within four evenings? After the course, you can continue working independently in our workshop to complete your project.
